Photo Christmas cards, and newly married children

Hi...

I have two sons, ages 20 and 14. I have sent out a photo card every Christmas since my first was born.

My oldest son got married this summer.

Some friends and extended family were not at the wedding so I would like to send something with their picture. I was thinking of doing a collage type card with one wedding photo.

Does that seem OK or weird?

Thanks

That sounds fine to me. Or you could just do a family picture for the card, and include your son and his new wife.

I would ask your son and DIL if that is okay. If they say "yes" go ahead. They might have plans to send out their own cards and photos and you don't want to step on toes.

Agreed.

That seems perfectly fine to me. I always like to get cards that include a few pictures from that family's year, especially if I don't get to stay in touch with them often.

I will...for the most part these would be going to people that they would not be sending cards to. Thankfully I have a very easy going DIL.

I would just ask them what they thought about it or get a picture of all of you together.
