Elf on the Shelf- how does yours arrive? (photo)

Do you make a big deal out of your Elf arriving? Do you read the story and then he/she is there the next day? Or does he just 'appear'?

I was just inspired by a friend (and fellow Mommysaver wink.gif ) who asked when the Elf can arrive b/c they needed a little Elf Behavior therapy biggrin.gif

I thought Benny could help me out with this and he will be making his grand entrance early as well because it was such a darn cute idea!
This is how he will be arriving to our house:

I used a priority mail box from the post office because I have so many of them around for sending things out it was easy to grab, and I like that it already says "priority". They are free from the US Post Office, but I recommend if you pick one up, use it for your Elf and then actually mail something with it wink.gif

The post mark I downloaded from 2012 Christmas North Pole Postmark Cancellation and it is also free-thank you to them for providing that!

Have you seen all our other elf on the shelf ideas?

If you had a toy car, airplane, truck, or other vehicle you could have your elf arrive in that too.

This is super duper cute!!!  And I have some of those boxes here.  This will be good because my son was questioning the "magic" of the elf a  little bit and if he really helps Santa or if I made that up.

Thay saw the book on the dresser and said mommy he is here. he is here santa is magical. They proceeded to run around looking for him and he was sitting on the mirror in there room resting

We don't have an actual elf, we just tell M the elves are watching her.

LOL, I can see him pulling up in the Barbie Jeep...or on top of the hook and ladder firetruck!

"Candy" sent a letter to the girls a week or so ago, complete with pictures of her in the snow, letting them know that she & Santa were working on her travel plans.  I'm not quite sure when she'll get here, but I like the Priority Box idea smile.gif
