How long does it take you to dry a load of clothes?

How long does it take you to dry a load of clothes in your dryer?

According to the paper that came with my dryer, I'm not spending that much on drying my clothes so I'm always surprised at how much people save by line drying. Then I heard one woman say she has to run her dryer one an a half cycles to dry anything. I realized I must just have a more efficient dryer.

My dryer cycle is 38 minutes and everything is plenty dry in that time.

I too usually need a 1.5 cycle mine is older and the cycle is 40mins so it takes about an hr in the dryer for them to dry. That is why I line dry as often as possible.

I mostly line dry. I am not sure if it saves much, I just prefer line drying as it doesn't heat the place up so much. That being said...My dryer is prehistoric. I can set the amount of time I want it to run. I usually set it at 30 minutes and that is usually enough time to dry a normal load of laundry. Towels are still a bit damp, but I just hang them up right away so they finish drying on their racks. Jeans are sometimes a bit damp, but also get hung up right away.

Less than 40 for most loads. I line dry as much as I can when the weather permits.

It only takes about 1/2 hour for us to dry a load in our dryer. I never line dry anything outside, although I do hang some things to dry inside.

I need a new dryer. It can't handle the load from my big washer. It would take 2 hours to dry a full load which I never do. I always hang indoors. So I would do 1/2 load of towels if I wanted to put them in the dryer.

I opted for the clothesline instead.

Maybe 45 minutes.  Most of the time I forget about it so I really don't know how long it actually takes--I use the sensor dry option.
