My little niece was born yesterday smile.gif

I want to put a care package to send to my sister. I wanted to include some Picnic to Go meals from Target and maybe some mini bottles of wine. Any great ideas?

I'd put in:

-lotion or other pampering things like bubble bath/lip gloss

-fuzzy socks and/or fuzzy blanket throw for when you have to get up to feed the baby at night

-takeout food gift card

-easy/nutritious snack food (I was always hungry in the beginning while nursing)

-water bottle (if nursing)

I don't know that I'd add wine unless you know that she isn't planning on breastfeeding the baby.

Earplugs! :D

I like the take-out gift card idea!

A little massager/massaging pillow might be nice too.  For all those new aches and pains.

I was thinking the picnic to go packs (can eat as a meal or mini snacks) and some red wine. Plus a few nice high end cigars for her dh to enjoy. She is not to in to fancy lotions or soaps. She is set on coffee for life since she does design work for a coffee shop. Trying to think of something extra to include.

A DVD or magazine
Pizza gift card
Grocery store gift card

Gift cards for pizza, deli, takeout places
Nice chocolate
Coupons for you bringing them dinner. Or just a nice note letting them know that every other week on _____ you will bring them dinner or something. Frozen homemade meals would be perfect.

Gift cards are not an option or the meals. She lives 5 hours away. I think the chocolates sound good.

Chocolates are not a good gift for new moms it makes it even harder to go to the bathroom.  Just what all woman want after having a baby.

A little chocolate is not going to do any harm.
