I know many of you are doing the Jillian's workouts.  I had just been doing the workouts, not really following a diet plan.  My goal isn't to lose weight, but I do think I need to up my protein intake to build muscle.  Here is a free .pdf printable of Jillian's Ripped in 30 diet plan here:

Ripped in 30 Diet Plan

It's high on protein and veggies, which I like.  I like to make my own meals, but this is a good guide as to what kinds of foods you should be eating.

I also just bought the Ripped in 30 DVD.  I wanted something to do before the one-week shred comes out.  It is HARD!  It's a good one to get if you've already done the 30-Day Shred and want to get in even better shape.  I like these workouts because they're fast and effective.  It has four levels.  I've only done it twice (at level 1) and don't think I can move up to level 2 yet.  It's THAT hard!

ok Kim you're killing me.  Motivation I need....lol.  If I wasn't before I'm up for it now.(you are helping me to get out of my funk though) - so what's the game plan?  Are we one-week shredding it, 30 days shredding or ripping it? LOL.  Mediterranean dieating or Jillian!  LOL.  I'm kidding of course! But I'm actually trying to get in a re-invent (for lack of a better word) my lifestyle but make it something that I can do that it not so drastic initially.  I guess playing around with different things might make it easier to decide which way to go.

Don't mean to kill anyone!  I will be honest.. I was motivated by my results with the 30-day shred and am somewhat afraid if I stop I'll lose my muscle tone.  Plus, exercise is great for my wintertime blues.  If I don't get at least 30 min a day I can easily slip into a funk.

If you don't want a drastic start, I'd recommend starting with the 30-day shred level 1.  Even that made me sore for a day or two... but by the end my endurance was incredible even at level 3.  Ripped in 30 is harder than even 30-day shred, so you may get discouraged trying that if you're a beginner.

But really, you can shred, rip, or just sit around until the one-week shred.  I would recommend doing a little of something first so you're not sore when we start. :)  I'm trying to keep up with Jillian's workouts and then will try to motivate everyone when we start the one-week shred.
