My indoor plants, whether real or fake, get so dusty! What is the easiest way to clean them???

I haven't found that my plants get dusty...you could put real plants outside and spray them with the hose to dust them off or in the shower or set tub in the wintertime. As for fake plants, I don't have any, but I've read in magazines that one way to clean them is to put them in paper bag with some salt (also seen rice used), seal the top of the bag and shake it to remove dust.

Hey....THAT is a good idea! Thanks!!
(Oh, and I think why mine are so dusty is because they are expanding our subdivision, and there are construction trucks everywhere and lots of open dirt one street over from us now!)

I clean my plants (all real) one of two ways.

If they're outside for the summer, I have a spray bottle full of water, and just spray the dickens out of them. If we had a garden hose, I'd use that instead. A good rain would also work.

When they're inside for the winter, I just take an hour or so every month-ish and wipe down the leaves with a damp rag. That's also when I go through and get rid of dead leaves, fertilize anything that needs it, etc.

You could also stick them in the shower for a couple of minutes & rinse them off. I like to polish my leaves with vegetable oil every once in awhile too.

Fake plants are best cleaned with plain old dish soap. I usually fill my sink with warm water and a little bit of Dawn. Dip the plant (or flowers) in the water and then let them air dry. Voila! Clean silk plants.
