Where do you store your cookbooks? - Page 2

I store my cookbooks on a shelf in a bottom cupboard in the kitchen. They are out of sight until I need them. I can't stand a bunch of stuff on my counter, clutter drives me crazy, and I am trying to get rid of more and more of it all the time!

I have a cabinet hanging over my washer and dryer in my laundry room, which is right off the kitchen. I keep them there.

I have my washer and dryer in a closet in my kitchen. Over the backs and sides of the machines I have shelves where I store all my empty food storage containers and cookbooks. This is the first house I have lived in where I have a space in the kitchen to store them - I love it!

Our basement has a built in book shelf on one wall that is all mine. 2 shelves are cookbooks. Another shelf is 3 ring binders and notebooks full of recipes I have copied/collected. Yes I have lots of recipes.

Upstairs in the microwave stand is my recipe "bible". It's a big 3 ring binder that has all the family favorites in it.

I have a set of glass cabinets in my kitchen, and I use one entire shelf for my cookbooks and cooking mags.

Well I bought a bakers rack to go on an empty kitchen wall with the intention of arranging my cookbooks and other knick knacks decoratively. So far there's some knick knacks and a good place to drop the mail. Gotta get to work on the cookbooks!

I used to keep them in a nice basket that I bought at Pier1 (on sale for $12) in the kitchen, but my collection of cookbooks keeps growing, so I bought a bookshelf for them and a few others and some decorative items, toys, etc.. it is in the living room.

I have a small, three shelf (including the top surface) bookshelf in the corner of the dining room that has cookbooks stacked on it. It's about time for a declutter there. (It gets messy when I'm searching for recipes.)

I've also copied out regularly used and favourite recipes into a Word document that I update fairly often. I keep the Word doc on both my computer and a flash drive that's attached to my keyring. So if I'm away from home and need a favourite recipe I have it with me, just as long as I have access to someone else's computer.
