Nudity in movies....

How do you feel about nudity in movies? I'm not talking p*rn....I'm just talking about regular Hollywood movies.

I was watching a movie the other night and the nudity scenes made me uncomfortable. So much so i had dh fast foward until the scene was over. I'm almost embarrassed to say it was
the movie "Borat"...... The scene was just gross imo and i don't think it was needed in the movie.

Do you ever feel uncomfortable with the nudity that is added into movies?

Absolutely. Most times it is soooo unnecessary. Even soaps these days have gone too far and keep pushing the envelope.

I used to watch ATWT every day, but when my 5 yr old started paying attention to Katie and Mikes continuous *ex scenes I had to stop.

I guess it depends on the movie and how tastefully or untastefully it is done. I have not seen Borat but from what I heard most of it was in poor taste anyway. Nothing against those who like it as I cant truly judge something I have never seen!

I stopped watching soaps about 4 years ago when I noticed dd was paying attention

The movie 8mm really bugged me. Very dark and disturbing and didn't like those scenes.

Ok having a brain fart-what is the name of the movie that is about the shooting of the Israel Olympic team. Had the actor from Troy in it. Sex scenes in that movie weren't needed in my opinion.

I'm all for any movie where I can see Matthew naked, lol.

Nudity doesn't bother me in movies... since those are not meant for kids anyways... if it bothers you I would just check the back of the case, or go to SCREEN IT! ENTERTAINMENT REVIEWS FOR PARENTS and check out the reviews there. It tells you *EVERYTHING* about a movie, so if there's any nudity in it, you know to skip it!

Munich.

Most often the nudity doesn't bother me one way or the other. It's the extensiveness of some of the love making scenes that bother me. There are some they are SO over the top in trying to portray realism that they do embarass me. One of the most simple of examples (where they aren't even nude - yet) is Top Gun. We watched it the other day, and the girls were in the room. In the love scene it shows his tongue going into her mouth while kissing. Of course all the girls were like ewwww - why is he sticking his tongue in her mouth, etc etc etc.... I had totally forgotten about that part (all I ever remember is the Volleyball scene )

Munich - a really good movie and the first time I saw Daniel Craig. I didn't mind his nude scenes in "Casino Royale". I agree about the sex scenes being needed there - in Munich. It was not embarrassing though.

Jodie, Borat sort of freaked me out with those scenes, too. A bit over the top. I liked the movie until that scene. YUCK!

Nudity in movies makes me uncomfortable. Movie makers just do it for shock value. I can't think of any instance where nudity was absolutely necessary in a movie. It can be alluded to, like in the old 1950's movies, but it doesn't have to be shown on screen.

Toilet humor and out-there sexual innuendos make me uncomfortable too, but I guess that's another thread.
