I used to have 7 cats...yes, SEVEN!!...and I always used Pine Fresh. I just liked the smell of it better than other brands, AND according to their website... "Pine Freshâ„¢ can also be flushed down a toilet in small amounts if you use a city sewage system or placed in your regular trash."
...so it's biodegradable, flushable, and..."Pine Freshâ„¢ is a great low-grade soil amendment. It can be safely recycled into your garden as mulch for acid-loving plants once the cat feces has been removed."
...which is also great! Also, "Cansorb Industries recycles the pine wood waste from various wood manufacturers to make Pine Freshâ„¢. No trees were cut to produce Pine Freshâ„¢."
...which is a big plus in my book.
I would definately give it try, especially if there's a rebate involved.
I don't know what Target sells it for, but on their website they're offering direct orders such as:
6 (Six) 7lb. bags...OR...2 (two) 21lb. bags...42lbs total...for $28 including shipping
That seems like a good deal to me. Comes out to like $4.60/bag, which is a great price for Pine Fresh. From what I remember, it was pretty expensive several years ago.
