Eat, Pray, Love - Page 3

One of the most boring books I've ever read. A better title would have been...... Eat, Pray, Love, Pass Out. It put me to sleep.

I read this awhile back and found it so lame that I just gave up. I should never read popular adult fiction. I never agree with everyone else.

I wasn't impressed with it either.  Some parts were interesting.

For those who read the book and saw the movie, did you enjoy the movie better than the book?  When I first saw previews for the movie I thought it looked really good, that is why I started to read (well listen) to the book.  I was kind of bored by the book, so I'm thinking maybe I'll just watch the movie instead.

I loved the book. Read it twice!

Hated the movie. Didn't do the book justice. In my opinion it didn't capture the essence of the book.

I liked the book much better than the movie.  I don't think I would have cast Julia Roberts as the lead.  IMO her depth of character wasn't the same as in the book.  The movie was a light, fluffy version of the book.

I watched the movie, I think I need to go back and read the book.  I need to get the ebook though and not do the audio book, I think that was my biggest problem with the book.  I borrowed it from my library's digital book area and the audio was all that was available.  Think I'll just buy the ebook and give it another chance.  I did enjoy the movie though.
