Rub-ons

Thread Starter
So I used a rub-on on one of my cards today (first time believe it or not) and I thought it would be simple but it seemed to take a LOT of rubbing! So my ? is are some rub-ons better then others (mine was a $1 one) and are there any tricks to make it easier (maybe I was doing something wrong).

I've never had any problems with them. I found it helps me if you kind of "press" them down with your finger first before you rub them on. HTH.

did you use a rub on tool or the little stick that comes with them? I find the tool works much better and I usually dont have an hard time with them, even the cheaper ones. You can get a tool at any scrapbook store or even somewhere like Target or Walmart.

Yes! Some rub ons take more effort than others! I use the rub on tool, and have to rub harder on the dollar ones. The more expensive ones seem to come off a lot easier for me. I make sure that you are on a hard surface (not working inside the book) helps too.

some of them work better if you focus on rubbing the outside edges of the shape rather than the middle-I know that was an issue with the heidi swap rubons for a while.

I use an finger nail file on mine, just the cheapy ones. They come off great and I have never had any problems. I just started scrapbooking and it is a blast.
