Do you buy your children yearbooks every year?

My dd's school sells yearbooks and I have never bought my dd one even though she's bugged me to death about it. They're pricey ($32.50 ) and I don't see a need for them at such a young age (I didn't get my first yearbook until I was in 5th grade). I told my dd that I'd buy her a yearbook in 5th grade since that will be the last year she'll be at the elementary school. I'm not sure if I'll be stuck buying them every year thereafter. That's why I'm trying to put off this yearbook business as long as I can.

How do you handle the yearbook thing?

Definately! My kids love the yearbooks! My Mom used to buy them for us every year...I've been doing the same. They're so fun to look back at!

I didn't buy them when they were little and it was mostly just pics of the classes and kids. I do now that my kids are older because they're in team pictures, etc and they all sign each others yearbooks etc. I agree though that they're horribly overpriced. I know I never look at my old yearbooks, so in some way I think they're a waste, but oh well....what's a little more wasted money?!?

The elementary books here have never been more than 10 dollars. They started out at around 5 dollars, but have upped the price. I tried to get them one every year. My son got one each year he was in Junior High. I think they were around 30 dollars. He didn't get a year book last year, he switched schools half way through. This year, I didn't order one yet. They are 60 dollars. I will probably try to buy him an extra one when they come out. Same with the girls.
I don't think I would have gotten elementary ones if they cost so much.
I do remember wishing I had more yearbooks when I was younger. I only got one for K, 5, 8, 10 and 12th grade.

I'd probably buy my dd one if they were only $11.
