Help? Coupon Inserts

I have have a question that I have always wondered about..like for years but just never asked...where do people get like an abundance of coupon inserts. Like I buy coupons sometimes on eBay. Some of those people will have 50 to 100 new coupon inserts every week. Where do they get them???

Do any of you get an abundance?? If so where?? Our local paper and the nearest city (45 min) doesn't carry the inserts. I have to pay 1.75 cents for a paper that is 4 hours away and hope that their are smartsource or red plum inserts in them. So it is a gamble.

Also my Krogers won't take the printable internet coupons now. My Kroger is NOT coupon friendly anyway. I have had to go to management more than once to get the cashiers to use my coupons correctly. I think they get jealous really. At least I know 2 of the cashiers I have dealt with do.

But If I had coupons enough to make it worth my while I would drive 45 min away to another Kroger.

Most people get the inserts from their family and friends that get the newspaper but don't use them. They just ask them to save them.

I found a lady on freecycle.org in my area that recycles newspapers for her neighbors. She pulls out the inserts for me and I pick them up when I am out her way. I usually get about 6 sets of each weeks inserts.

Another good way to get the coupons you need are through the coupon trains. You should also check with your neighbors and friends. They might be interested in trading coupons with you.

There are also a number of coupon trading sites. Two good ones that are mentioned here are Grocery Coupons, Coupons, Free Samples, Online Coupons, Restaurant Coupons or the grocerygame.com. They not only tell you what coupons are coming out in each insert, they also give you store lists and match up the coupons for you. Check out both. There is a fee for the grocery game, but you can try it out for 4 weeks for $1. Couponmom is free but is set up a little different than grocery game. I tried both and for me the grocery game wasn't worth it as they don't have most of the stores that I use. Couponmom has more stores that I use including Target and Walmart.

Also if you are looking for particular coupons, I think you can post it up here and if other mom have what you are looking for, we will get them out to you if you send us a SASE.

Good luck!

I used to have 3 gas stations in my area saving Sunday inserts for me. Now I just have one that does, but that's plenty. I recently found out that my towns' Monday paper has the inserts in them too!! So, this one place that saves me their Sun. papers are also saving their Monday papers for me!! I had to ask at about 8 or 9 places in town before getting a few to save them for me, but it was worth it. Now I don't have to pay for the paper/inserts anymore!!

You'd be surprised how many of your neighbors and relatives don't even look at the coupon inserts. Don't they realize what they're throwing away!?
You might also try your school's library. If they get the Sunday paper, they usually throw away all the advertising that comes with it.
Some public libraries have a coupon exchange box. It takes a lot of time to go through, since there's little organization to it, but you might find some gems.
