Crock Pot Jambalaya

2bone/skinless chicken breasts,cubed
1 pkg smoked sausage,cubed or sliced
1 green peppers,chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 (14oz)can whole tomatoes
1/3 c tomato paste
1 can beef broth
1 Tbs parsley
1 1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 lb shelled shrimp
4 c cooked rice


Put all (~*~but shrimp and rice~*~)in crock.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Add shrimp the last 20 min.
Stir in rice before serving.

Sorry, guys, but real jambalaya doesn't contain tomatoes, and is cooked in a cast iron pot.

It's probably best described as Crockpot Shrimp Creole... but regardless of what it's called, it's yummy!  I made it last night with a couple modifications.  Delicious!  The leftovers were even better today than they were last night.
