My mil was here last weekend and forgot some stuff. She asked if I would mail her inhaler and a bottle of pills. Only the inhaler is a prescription-not sure if that matters. I have the package ready and am going to have dh mail it off tomorrow. But I dont know if it is ok to mail it or not. Is it ok???

What kind of pills...?

I think technically it might be illegal to mail it. If it were me, I might try either just sending it and hoping for the best - LOL. Or, calling my local USPS and asking them.

Pills are mucinex. Not sure if it is a prescription or not. She had just gone to the dr. so it may be a sample of a prescription she is suppose to get. Heck I dont know! She for sure wanted the inhaler, but I figured I would put as much stuff in the envelope that I could. Maybe I will look for a little box and just wrap everything up really good.

I think the inhaler is combustile so it would be a no-go.

Yes you can, elderly people here in town have their prescriptions mailed to them all the time. Just wrap it well, maybe a bubble mailer with good packaging tape.

Yes, but it's coming from a place they ordered it from, prescription on file etc. I think that's a different circumstance...I could be wrong though! I haven't a clue!

Don't get me wrong - I don't think it's that big of a deal. Just curious of the legality of it...and if it depends on what exactly you're mailing.
