C'mon girls join us here to keep track of your coupon savings for the month of March!

What will you do with your savings? Here are some of my thoughts

1. Transfer to savings
2. Go out to dinner
3. Put in an envelope for Vacation
4. Christmas Club

Share your thoughts

Sharing a success story from a first time coupon tracker in Febuary! Incentive for all you newbies who wish to join the challenge! Great job MsJoyce

My Feb Coupon Totals from MS member MsJoyce

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This has been great and an eye opening project for me. Since writing this down now I have a better idea of what I spend on groceries, how much I save with coupons and how my time spent clipping, trading and requesting coupons from companies has paid off.

I have a family of 4 in my house (me, DH, DS~almost 19 and eats like a horse, DD 8yrs)

In Feburary I bought $ 662.33
I paid $320.30
I saved with Coupons $179.53
I saved with Kroger's Card & Closeouts $162.50
Total Savings was $342.03

I shopped 6 times..2/1, 2/2, 2/13, 22/19, 2/23, 2/25.

I live less than a mile from Krogers so no propblem with gasoline. I shopped often so I could use my coupons coming in on the trains and thru the mail for the sales.

I averaged paying $80 a week for $165 worth of groceries.

Point~~With using coupons, being on the trains, trading coupons, shopping often I ended up paying less than ever before AND having MORE groceries in the house than ever before!

Count me in. I get a kick out of seeing how much I saved for the month.
While I'd love to put those savings aside for something special, the truth is that those savings allow me to buy things like meat and milk and produce.

Nothing wrong with that!

my extra savings helps buy diapers and wipes, I know, not real exciting huh, but they are going up in price again so I have been stocking up on the diapers for the new baby, getting them ahead so we don't have to pay the extra later

Great idea. I'm still "wet behind the ears" here on mommysavers. I've had some great savings this month so far. But exactly how are you keeping track? Actual coupons, rebates (like RiteAid), Kroger savings card, etc? I think I'll break it down. I'll have to put it all together later. I have to go to work here in just a few... But gosh, yesterday I hit the jackpot with coffee at Kroger. My DH and I are huge coffee drinkers but we enjoy the gourmet-types or dark roast. No Maxwell House here. So I spend a fortune on coffee. Even Walmart's prices here yesterday had gone up. In fact a lot of Walmart prices have gone up! But thank goodness Kroger had a sale and I had q's. : ) More later, ladies. I'll post my savings soon.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!

I've done so good this week!

Yesterday at Meijer I saved $35.98 with coupons!
Today at Kroger I saved $44.83 with coupons! (36% savings!)

I'm so proud of myself! I spent $173.49 BUT we have enough to last at LEAST 2 weeks and that INCLUDES Easter Dinner for extended family this weekend!

I'm on a Savings HIGH right now!
