If you have a seven year old boy....what size bike does he have?

We just went and got my 7.5 year old a new bike. It's a 20"........He's having a little issue taking off.

Just curious what size your son has.

Ok this is a really dumb question.....

Does it jump from a 16" to a 20" or is there an 18"?

I know stupid stupid me....I'm almost embarrassed to ask this question.

It jumps from 16 to 20. Here is my dumb question: Can I put training wheels on a 20 in bike? 2 of my boys don't know how to ride a bike yet (actually 3 of my boys if you count the little one!) and I want to teach them this summer (yes, we are slow since they are 8 and 9)

My 7 year old got a new bike for his birthday this year and we got him a "mini 20" which is a little smaller than the 20". It is made by Trek. It fits him perfectly, although we did have to raise the seat on it as soon as we got it. He still has growing room and I think it will last him a couple of years.

Sorry but in my experience the training wheels will be very far off the ground on a 20 bike. Just keep in mind that they might feel more secure with them on even if they dont touch the ground because they're more likely to stop the bike from fully hitting the ground if they loose balance.

I learned to ride a bike when I was about the same age as your boys. My parents got me a smaller bike (like 14 I think) with training wheels and after I learned with that one I upgraded to a bigger one.

Nice to read this b/c it seems like we've been buying a new bike every year for my 4 and 5 year old.
