Well, I first want to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to get on here and reply and let me know that you thought of me. It really means alot. I went in and they drew blood work. They didn't tell me much.. other than call in the morning after 8:30 to see what your levels are. And I am scheduled for a D&C at noon tomorrow. I want to see a pretty big decrease in my hCg levels before going in. Do you think that is normal? I just have a closure issue with the surgery vs. my body naturally ridding of everything. Is this wrong/normal? I feel that for me and my mental state, I want to see what I have lost... does this make sense to anyone? I understand it's a loss, I could get an infection..etc. But what would have happened if I hadn't went to the dr. at eight weeks, but went at 12? Sure I might have to still have a D&C, but at least then my levels would probably close to 0 again. Oh gosh.. pray that my levels are down or have doubled! And that I can have peace with having this surgery if need be.
Thanks again for your concerns. I will let you know in the morning as soon as I call to find out my level.
Thank you so much.

I'll be praying that your numbers will let you know what to do. I really don't blame you for wanting to see the levels drop before making any decisions. I'm sorry your going through this.

I'm sorry you're having to make this decision, and thank you for the update. I would most definitely make sure your numbers are down a significant amount, AND I would have another ultrasound before they did anything surgically. If you had waited until 12 weeks and hadn't passed it, your numbers wouldn't be at 0. They'd be low, but because you still have tissue in there, my understanding is that there would be some HcG left that would get picked up. Even after mine passed naturally, and was almost completely over, I still read 12. I went back 10 days later, and was then, finally, at a 0.

You will do what you feel is best for you and your family. I wish you the best in this very difficult time.

I hope you have to unschedule your surgery, but if the numbers aren't good, I wish you strength and peace as you move forward. I know this is not a pleasant time, but we're here if you want to talk about it.

With my last D&C (yes, I had to have more than one in my lifetime), the last thing I remember is being wheeled in to surgery. My sweet doctor was holding my hand the whole way. That meant soooo, so much to me! May you get the same consideration.
