Chub Rub Solutions

I researched "chub rub" on a running board. They had a VERY long thread going about the topic. Most ladies with this problem wear long bike style shorts or capris. Some have tried skirts, which worked for a few and not for others. The Champion Vapor shorts sound like something I'm willing to try. Here is one of the posts regarding the shorts: No creeping shorts...

I run every day and have to deal with shorts that ride up. I'm not a particularly big person (5'6" and about 140 lbs), but this is always an issue for me. I have tried on EVERY kind of short and skirt for running. Most shorts still ride, despite length or promises not to ride. THe only solution I've found is Champion Vapor 5" compression shorts. They run about $38, but I have 2 pairs that I have run over 2000 miles in, and no chafing! The fit is flattering, they have a pocket, and they are wicking so even when my shorts are swampy after 5 hours of running, there is no visible sweaty crotch. The running skirts with the compression short also rides up on me, sadly. I love the style, but even a 6 mile run result in me digging my shorts out of my crotch. Not a fun thing to do in a race with people watching. For a true non-riding short, the bike short style is the only choice for me.

Running skirts or shorts that don't "ride"

Here there are:Champion Vapor Women's 5'' Compression Shorts - Champion Sports Apparel. Official Shopping Web Site. !

Do you think they would really solve the problem? I get this really badly and end up mostly wearing capris which get hot. I can't even wear regular shorts in the summer without them riding up and truth be told, I never wear out jeans in the knees, only on the inside of the upper thighs!

To be honest, the 5" inseam has me a little concerned. I measured my bike shorts and they have an 8" inseam. I think I'd feel safer with these Champion O2Cool Women's 7'' Compression Bike Shorts - Champion Sports Apparel. Official Shopping Web Site. !!
They have a 7" inseam.

For regular shorts, my favorites are the Woolrich cargo shorts 7 1/2" inseam http://www.woolrich.com/CGI-BIN/LANS...0FD068+PRD+ENG which I wear hiking with no problems. Also, the Dockers bermuda length shorts work well for me.
