Save on your long distance phone - an "as seen on TV item" that REALLY Works!!

OKay, I've seen this infomercial a zillion times. The item is "MagicJack". It's a gizmo that plugs into the USB port on your computer. Then you plug your phone into it and you can make all the phone calls you want to anywhere in the continental US for 19.95/YEAR!!

Turns out someone my hubby works with bought it and said it was great so we thought we'd try it out. We've had it for about a month and it really works.

You plug the gizmo into your computer and it loads the software the first time you plug it in. You need to choose a phone number to activate it. You could use it as your only phone if you wanted, as it takes incoming calls as well. We have kept our landline phones for now.

For $19.95/YEAR, you can call ANYONE in the continental US and Canada whether they have this gizmo or not. For international calls, you can call ANYONE who has the gizmo. At this time, you can't make international calls to anyone who doesn't have it. At this price, if I had family living overseas I'd probably buy one of these for them so I could talk to them for this price.

This is a great gizmo for anyone who makes lots of long distance calls. I'm in NJ and have family in NH, Pa and Az. My phone bill is now 12.95/month, (the basic landline cost in my area). Used to be $50-$100/month including long distance charges. I never like using my cell for long distance because it often dropped the calls. I think I'm going to be getting these as Xmas gifts for my out of state family!

Check out the website magicjack.com for more info.

This one really works! Will save you lots on long distance phone calls.

Funny that I saw this for the first time just this morning and wondered if it works or is just another gimmick. We don't make a lot of long distance calls to make it worth our mnoey but if we did, I think I'd be looking into it further. Glad it works for you and is helping with your phone bill!

Is it legal???

Yes, it's absolutely legal. It's similar to VOIP (Vonage, Skype) in that it uses the internet for the calls. You receive a regular phone number, although it might not be your exchange. THe nearest exchange I could get was about 30 miles away. That may be because my phone company is an independent, not Verizon or Sprint.

Any more questions, I'll be happy to help (if I can)
