Basically, it's a raised image the same color as your embossing powder. One of my favorite things to do is use silver EP for snowflakes. HTH

Thanks for the link - looks fun! Another question - could you use a hairdryer instead of a heat gun? Just wondering since they look similar.

Angela, I would NOT suggest using a hair dryer! The fan in the hair dryer will blow your EP everywhere! and the heat gun is much, much hotter than a hair dryer.

Heat guns are probably less exspensive than a hair dryer, too. The pink one I use in that tutorial? I bought it at HL when it was half-price, so I paid $5 for it. Or wait til HL has a 40% off coupon and use it, which would make it $6. If you don't have a HL near you, I'd be glad to pick one up for you next time they're on sale/have a coupon.

Ok - no hairdryer. I'll do a search for the heat gun - I've got Michaels, JoAnn's, and LSS close by. If I don't find one, I'll have you go to HL for me.
