how do you seal them?

I am guessing you would just rinse out the cereal bag in order to not have fruit loop remainings on your deli meat. GROSS! I love this idea and will definitely finish off a box of cereal within a day or so and give this a try! So, what's for breakfast? CEREAL!!

Vegetables and fruit don't last long enough in our house to go bad!

My co-worker gave me a stack of those bags he bought off an infomercial. I haven't used them yet so I don't know if they work. BUT if the cereal bags work too that is great. (Of course we do not eat too much cereal around here I will keep the bags I get from crackers and such!!)

I have my salad mix in a cereal bag now, I'll post the results!! I hope it works. Salad gets thrown away a lot here. But we eat a lot too..

You know those greenish bags commercials...the ones where foods keep fresh longer? Well NOW their commercials say they're 'impregnated with" something that keeps foo fresh.
Oh, yeah? Like the BHG that keeps our cereals fresh????!!
The SAME chemical that keeps our cereals fresh, will ALSO keep everything else fresh that's put into them!!

Use cereal bags to put lettuce, bacon ...whatever into and NEVER have slimy bacon or wilted lettuce!

So the next time you finish your cereal or crackers, shake the crumbs out of the bag and use it to keep all your foods fresh!

Bacon and deli meats: remove from that gross package and give it a good rinse, and place into the FREE bag. No more icky bacon or deli meats!

Lettuce and fresh foods: rinse and place into the FREE bags!
You will not believe how they keep your foods fresh!!

That's a great tip, thanks! But will the smell of the cereal on the bag get on the food?

I tried it with salad and it didn't work! I put it in a cereal bag and tried to get the air out and folded it closed. But the very next day it was browning. Which is what it always does.
