How do you clean your sippy cup lids?

I think this is a really good question since we seem to have lots of members with little kids!

I am so past the stage of having to clean sippy cups since my kids are 9 and 16 yrs., but like I said it is a good question and others can benefit from what has worked for you!

Does anyone have any good tips for cleaning the insides of the lids of sippy cups?

I try to rinse them out right away, but some times I get sidetracked and I got this tip before to use those little kid paint brushes to get in the ridges and little sections of the lid.

I pull the valve out and just stick the valve and lid in the dishwasher.

ok my kids still use a sippycup (ONLY at bedtime and that is cause the cat
will spill all others yikes)

I will toss them in the dishwasher mind you its only for water (they do not have any other liquid (unless they are too sick to lift there head) I know bad mom!!

Thanks for the wonderful tip. I was really feeling lazy to scrub them by hand, but wanted to clean them. They go in the DW tonight - thank you so very much.

I take them apart and toss in the dishwasher too. Sometimes I will soak them in a little hot water with some bleach just to be sure I am killing all the cooties off them.
