Does anyone else live in a state that has bottle redemption?

In Ct we can redeem bottles and cans for .05 each.

When I go to Walmart, I bring tons of bottles back with me and put them in the machines. I usually get several $$s back in redemptions. Then when I shop at Walmart for my groceries, I use the redemption slips just like a coupon and save! My last trip to Walmart, I cashed in about $12 worth of bottles and saved that much on my final bill.

the bottles can be either Glass, plastic or aluminum, and they can only contain carbinated beverages. If it contained an alcoholic beverage you bring those back to the packy. And the bottles have to be sold by that particular store for them to take them back.

Not here, but when we lived in IA we returned all our bottles and cans.

It's $0.05 here in NY. I have seen local places giving $0.055 or $0.06 each and it's because they turn around and sell them by weight for the metal value.

we dont' have it here in WA but we recycle them. I use to live in NY and I did when I lived there. It was nice to have that extra but it is not like it is free you do pay for it when you are buying the cans and bottles you are just getting your money back for recycling.

TRUE, but I don't buy the soda. I take them from work because for some reason they do not return them. To me its a win-win. LOL

No...but if we take our cans into the recycling center we get money for them. We really need to get in and do it as we have a few black bags full sitting in our garage right now. Not sure what the going price is right now...

Way cool!! I'm SOOOOO Excited! I ended up going to walmart and buying the Greatest Hits CD, till I get a MP3 player and download all the songs I want to hear anytime. ROFL! AHHHH, memories! I actually emailed a friend from HIgh School too, her dad used to get us our tickets and drive us all over to the shows. I invited her as my guest, but she hasn't gotten back to me if she can do it or not. She said she would let me know.
