Whats the best way to stock up on fresh produce?

Do you: grow your own?
Purchase from a farmers market?
Or the GRocery store?

If we had a yard I would try gardening, but since we don't I usually buy our produce at Aldi or Walmart. Every now and then when we see a farmer's stand, we will stop, but I don't see them much here.

We have a garden and hope to expand it more next year. I also get produce at a local farmers market and at Trader Joes - we pretty much only do organic and this seems to be working pretty well for us.

We love farmers markets for produce!
We also have an "open farm" just east of town where you can "go and pick your own"...things like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, asparagus, rhubarb, and you can buy other things like onions, radishes, new potatoes, apples, peaches, and even get eggs for $1.00 a dozen...I go there a lot in the summer and stock up on all the fresh produce and blanch and freeze it or can it.
I buy banannas and some produce at Sam's club! Can't beat the $1.13 price for 3 lb. bag of banannas! I also like to get carrots there, I'll get like 2-3 bags at a time, chop them all up, blanch them, freeze them and take them out all year around for soups, stews, casseroles and just to steam and eat.

For the last month we have been trying a local organic CSA, where we pick up a big box of produce every other week from them at our local farmers market. So far, for $29.50 a box, I am very happy. The only downside is they don't include much fruit in the box. So for fruit I still shop at Albertson's or Henry's Marketplace since they have the best prices and quality of organic items.

Before, I would occasionally get a few organic produce items at Costco, but I found that they usually don't taste that great.
