Cream Cheese Banana Bread

* 1 (8oz) block cream cheese, softened
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1/4 cup butter (1 stick), softened
* 1 cup mashed bananas
* 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
* 2 eggs
* 2 1/4 cups flour
* 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
* 1/2 tsp. baking soda
* 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350*. Grease and flour a 9X5" loaf pan. Cream softened cream cheese, sugar and butter, blending well. Blend in bananas, vanilla extract and eggs. Combine dry ingredients and add to banana mix, mixing until just moistened. Fold in nuts at this time if you're adding them.

Pour the mix into prepared pan, bake for 1 hr. 10 mins. Cool 10 mins before removing from pan.

I got this recipe from someone on another site. ITS AMAZING!

Black Bean Burgers
~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 (16oz)can black beans, drained,rinsed,and patted dry(just use a paper towel)
1/2 green bell pepper,chopped
1/2 onion, cut into wedges
3 cloves garlic, peeled
1 egg
1 Tbs chili powder
1 Tbs cumin
1 tsp Thai chili sauce or hot sauce
3/4 c bread crumbs (or rolled oats)
If grilling, preheat at high heat, and lightly oil a sheet of foil. If baking, preheat oven to 375,and lightly oil a baking sheet.
In a bowl,(or even better food processor)pulse onions peppers and garlic.(then oats if using those)
Then pulse in beans.
In a bowl,mix egg, chili powder, cumin, and chili sauce,and stir into the mashed beans.
Mix in bread crumbs til sticky and holds together.
Divide mixture into four patties and freeze about 30 min.(this helps them to hold together better when cooking)
Grill about 8 min on each side.
or bake about 10 min on each side.
Ladies, a few weeks ago, someone posted a bread machine recipe. I'm looking for it and can not find it. I believe it made the dough in the machine and then it was transfered to the oven to bake. The person who submitted it said her family thought she "perfected it." She also included a picture of two baguettes. Any idea of who I'm speak of and where the recipe is?
Thank you in advance.
Can anyone tell me how they make Tuna Melts?? I know how we like to eat tuna sandwiches, just looking for a way to make them different and thought that melts would be good. Please include directions (Do I make them like grilled cheese sandwiches??) and what kind of cheese you use. I was thinking of having them with avacado slices too. TIA!!
I make up my tuna salad like normal. Then I fill hot dog rolls with the tuna and top with a slice of american cheese, then bake in oven till the cheese is melted. I also have made it on a cookie sheet open faced grilled cheese one slice of bread with the tuna the other with the cheese and bake when the cheese is melted put the two halves together and enjoy!
