I always try to shop year round, that way it won’t hit my pocket book so hard. Look for good deals, especially clearance, and sometimes knowing ahead of time what family wants helps out a lot. Happy Holidays!!!

I only shop for my kids. I ask my daughter (4yrs old) what is the one thing she wants from santa and make sure she gets it. I get my son a big gift too but he’s too young to ask for something. The best deal I got was on a new Waring Pro WMK600 Double Belgian-Waffle Maker, normally $100+ and I paid $69.98 with no tax and free shipping. Oh and I also purchased a new Wii DJ Hero Bundle for $39.99 with again no tax and free shipping. <3 deals!!!

I love looking for the deals! I combine sales/clearance with manufacture and store coupons to get a really good deal! Merry Christmas!!
I start shopping in January and shop the sale and clearance racks all year round. If I’m near a store I go in and look around. I also use coupons, online discount codes and sale e-mails to shop. I have plastic bins where I store gifts purchased by household so I can keep up with purchases.
I always try to save for Christmas every year, but something always happens to where I need to tap into the money, then I stress at the holidays. For 2011, I decided to do something a little different. Every time I use a coupon, I have decided to set back at least half of my savings or all of my coupon savings so that when Black Friday comes I will have the money to spend on Christmas. I think it will be interesting to see how much I saved throughout the year and maybe Christmas won’t stress out next year. So far I have save a little over $100 in less than a month. I started this the day after Black Friday.

My BEST find this year was my sons LEGO IRON MAN 2 play set. It was on sale at Amazon for 9.99 and at walmart and target it is 40.00. Was I surprised when this popped up! Also, learned about Amazon Mom and free shipping. Best deals so far this year.
I am a crusin’ Caroler….which is fine by me! I know when to be frugal and what’s worth spending a bit extra on. I’m patting myself on the back this year for using my United Mileage Plus miles (19,000 worth) for gifts from FTD for my daycare providers and husband. I was wondering if I was just going to lose those miles, since I used to get them for hotels & groceries & the occasional yearly vacation flight, but that’s dropped way off with a 5 and 3 year old. And no more grocery miles from Safeway. Still pleased, though. Now if the MyPoints gift cards would get here…..

I have saved with mommysavers by printing out all the store coupons. I just scored some great deals using the Bath and Body works coupons. Plus they had an in-store deal, buy 3 get 3 free, so I was able to get 4 large sized items free!!
I shop year round and EVERYWHERE. Sometimes you find the perfect gift in the strangest stores.

So this year we’ve cut way back, made lots of gifts, shopped thoughout the year for cash flow purposes. We have not used credit cards for a whole year (no need to get further in debt!).
As i always say, if you can’t find Christmas in your heart, you won’t find it under the tree!

This frugal frosty loves to make out my list BEFORE going out and sticking by the list. As I cross off the products that I am to buy, I then add up my total to make sure I am within my budget. I usually do this pretty good…. but the key is to leave your hubby and 4 kids with the sweet grandmother. That way no one sneaks something in your buggy you dont have on the list.
