Camping Out Party

Games and Activities:

Nature Scavenger Hunt:

Make a list of natural things that you can find around your  'camp site' and make a list for each individual or team.  See how many they can find.

Going on a Camping Trip:

Have everyone sit in a circle.  The first person begins with "I'm going on a camping trip and I'm going to bring (something that starts with the letter a).  The second person follows with  "I'm going on a camping trip and I'm going to bring (something that starts with the letter a, and b).   Next c, d, etc.   Everyone must repeat what was said before them.

Ghost Stories:
Have the children share any ghost stories they may know.  Be prepared with some age-appropriate stories of your own.

Decor:
Outside set up a tent(s)

Camp fire or low grill

Camp chairs or beach chairs

Food:
S'mores -- use chocolate frosting instead of chocolate bars, and marshmallow
topping instead of roasting marshmallows.
Hot Dogs or Hamburgers
Baked beans
Lemonade
Other "campfire" foods
