A flag is much more than a colorful banner. Its colors and designs
symbolize something. The stars on the United States flag symbolize each of
the fifty states, and its thirteen stripes represent the original
colonies.
What you'll need:
Large piece of white paper
Other pieces of colored paper
Scissors
Glue
Markers
Clear contact paper
3/4" dowel
Have kids cut out or draw shapes that
symbolize something about them: their hobbies, favorite sports, pets, or
anything else. Have them decorate their paper with these items. When
finished, cover the paper in clear contact paper for support. For the
flagpole, attach dowel with clear packing tape.
