Grands! Monkey Bread Recipe

Grands! Monkey Bread RecipeGrands! Monkey Bread Recipe

If you are in need of a yummy dessert, one that doesn’t take long to make or require too many ingredients, monkey bread is an easy answer! Plus, the homemade version is soooo much better than the store bought kind.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 can (16.3 oz each) Pillsbury Grands! Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (Grands! Biscuits Coupon Here)
  • 1 cup firmly, packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 12-cup bundt pan with shortening or cooking spray ( I used cooking spray).  In large storage food bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Separate dough into 16 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Shake in bag to coat.

Arrange in pan.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter; pour over biscuit pieces.

Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving plate; pull apart to serve. Serve warm.

If you have leftovers, you are able to rewarm the pulled apart pieces in the microwave. I put about 6 pieces on a plate and rewarm for 24 seconds, stopping after 12 seconds to check how warm they are. Then continuing to rewarm for the remaining seconds.

Hi Dawn – I’ve made monkey bread in a regular cake pan and it works just fine.

I made this over the weekend and used the cinnamon biscuits instead of the plain and it was delicious!
