Padma Lakshmi of Top Chef and Me

BlogHer is a conference for bloggers with a female audience that’s being held in San Diego this August.  I was lucky enough to go last year when it was held in NYC, and I got to meet some interesting people like Padma Lakshmi, Grayson Chance, Bruce Jenner, and Gretchen Rubin (The Happiness Project), Dora the Explorer as well as some other really cool bloggers.  Besides meeting some wonderful people, I learned a lot about the world of blogging!

My Tip:  Be a “Not-So-Extreme” Couponer: In today’s age of extremes, it’s important to remind people to use frugality to create financial peace, not domestic overload. Extreme couponing has its costs, not the least of which is the time and energy invested in creating a stockpile full of things that may not even be useful. Use a balanced approach when it comes to couponing. Designate a pre-set time limit each week to your couponing efforts (such as an hour), focusing on high-value coupons for the things your family already eats and buys.
