Are you a Mommysavers member who can’t get enough of the discussion forums? Consider being a moderator!

This is a volunteer position and you will need to have the time and energy needed to successfully moderate the boards. Here is an overview of the moderator’s responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Visit the discussion forums on a frequent basis (at least 4-5 times per week)

  • Help answer as many questions posted in your designated forum as possible. Sometimes this means researching to provide insightful and relevant responses.

  • Post new questions and topics for discussion. (At least 5 new threads per week per forum you are moderating)

  • Move posts to other forums that might be more relevant elsewhere and notify the author of the post that it has been moved

  • Delete or “prune” spam and/or inappropriate messages and report troublesome members to the board administrator

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Moderators should have been a longstanding member of our community. This means you should have been a registered user for at least 6 months and have made a minimum of 500 posts.

  • Since you will be given access to special areas on the site and will be spending the majority of your online forum time with us, we ask that you are not already a moderator on any other similar boards. This is done to protect Mommysavers and other websites as well. (special situations can be considered, however).  If you are active in similar forums, your loyalties need to lie with Mommysavers.

  • You should be familiar with our Rules and Regulations so that you can successfully enforce them

Apply:
