We’re starting on our Halloween-themed Muffin Tin Meals! I love Halloween, and my kids are picking up on my enthusiasm. Today I made them a muffin tin lunch with a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern theme, and they loved it. I recently bought a second 6-cup muffin tin, so I made a muffin tin meal for both of my kids. My husband was home during lunch, while both kids were sitting quietly at the table eating, and I commented, “Muffin tin meals are magic!”
So, here are our first Halloween muffin tin meals, with a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern theme. After a moment’s thought, I decided not to mention the “blood” to my preschooler, but that might be fun for an older kid.
Maggie’s Muffin Tin Meal
- apple jack-o-lantern
- okra piece (for the pumpkin stem)
- sugar-free drink (blood)
- pomegranate seeds (drops of blood)
- macaroni and cheese (pumpkin)
- pumpkin-shaped Rice Krispie Treat with colored sprinkles

Here’s Dalton’s muffin tin meal. He also had orange yogurt (mango flavor).
The kids were both great eaters. Maggie even willingly tried the okra and pomegranate seeds.
I mentioned when I shared my Chocolate-Frosted Rice Krispie Bars recipe that I like to use Kellogg’s brand Rice Krispies because they hold up better. I paid $9 for the box of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies I used to make the pumpkin-shaped Rice Krispie treats. It was imported from the UK and I was amazed at how good the cereal looked! My theory stands.

This is a bloody good meal! (Pun intended!)
Love the theme! I am starting fall/ halloween next week. Love that you had different things in them too. I have to do that a lot for my different kiddo’s. Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE the idea of carving an apple to look like a jackolantern. Great tin all around!
We don’t really celebrate Halloween, but I have to say your meal is really cute. I also have been making my little one a muffin tin. She has gradually been getting more and more of the same foods.
