Real Mom Profile

Name: Rachel
Age: 28
Home: Rochester NY
Family's Names and Ages:
Bill 32
David 3
Luke 2
Maggie 4 months

Occupation:
I worked in Banking.

If I had a day to myself...:
I would probably sleep and then go out to get a haircut and facial.

Money Saving Tips:
I cut coupons to use with sales, garage sales, eBay, freecycle.org, and network with friends. I try to stay organized and keep it simple in life. I go to the gym instead of the store several times a week.

Bargain Hunting Strategies:
I like to shop at Walmart for good prices on groceries, and I find great deals at Kmart, Target and Aldi. I find the best deals when I combine coupons with sales, or wait for clearance racks at the end of seasons.

Products we can't live without:
Cloth diapers, milk, pb&j sandwiches ;), blankies, baking soda, white vinegar

In the Kitchen:
I like to clean as I go when I cook to relieve distraction and the extra work with a messy kitchen. My favorite recipe is passed down from my mother called "Favorite Chocolate Chip cookies". My friends at church have passed this recipe around to a ton of women that love it!

Organization:
My big motto is clean as you go and put things where they belong. I have been teaching my toddlers these rules, and it has helped out tremendously. My husband has even joined in!  These two methods save me time everyday and keep the house from getting cluttered and crazy messy. Other than that, I try to focus on a particular room each weekday and the rest is extra. I have more time to enjoy my children this way.
