Age: 29
Home: Westerville, Ohio
Family's Names and Ages:
Shawn 33
Aiden 5
Reis 2
Occupation:
Along with taking care of my family, I work full
time for a husband/wife team of Realtors. I've
had my real estate license since 2000, but
decided to be an office manager instead of being
a full time Realtor. I wanted more time for my
family. It's a great job to have & the Realtors
I work for are very understanding because they
have kids themselves. So taking a day off when
the kids are sick or for a field trip is never
an issue. I love my job!
If I had a day to myself...:
Go away from the house so I don't spend all day
cleaning!!! It would be nice to have a spa
day...you know, get the works. Hair, nails,
facial, massage...anything they offer to relax
me.
Money Saving Tips:
I don't go to the grocery store more than once a
week. If I do, I end up buying things I don't
need. And, I've learned that if I don't take
Aiden...I save a lot of $$!
Bargain Hunting Strategies:
Aldi's for grocery items and consignment type
shops for clothes for the boys (Once Upon a
Child). It may take time to look, but I always
find tons of nice things.
Products we can't live without:
1. Leave-in spray conditioner. Aiden even uses
it for his long locks!
2. Ovaltine for milk.
3. Swiffer wet mop...much easier & faster for me
to keep the floors clean.
4. The Good Home Company's (at Meijer) Beach
scent fabric softener, laundry detergent,
surface cleaner & sheet spray. I don't buy it
very often, because it's a little pricey. But
it smells SO clean!
In the Kitchen:
My mom made this for us a lot when we were
little. I love it!
*Tallerena*
3 tbsp shortening
1 medium onion
1lb hamburger or turkey burger
1 can tomato soup
1 can mushroom soup
1 8oz package of broad noodles
1 cup cold water
2 cups whole corn
1 cup sliced stuffed green olives
1 cup grated cheese
Melt shortening, add onions to brown slightly,
and add meat and brown. Then add tomato &
mushroom soups, cold water, salt & noodles. Mix
thoroughly, cover & cook on low for 10 minutes.
Add corn & olives. Pour into buttered baking
pan. Sprinkle with cheese & bake 45-50 minutes
in 350 degree oven. Enjoy!
Organization:
I tried to use see through Rubbermaid tubs for
everything. I have one for crafts, markers,
paints, Play-Doh...it's much easier for me to
keep things picked up that way.
