What Funny Things Do Your Kids Do/Say:
My 2 year old is a hoot. She is constantly making us chuckle.
After the birth of our baby it was apparent she had seen too much!
She would come in with nursing pads haphazardly placed down her shirt.
The Most Rewarding Thing About Parenting:
The hugs, kisses, and I love yous. Putting them to bed at night
knowing that you make a difference in their lives.
The Most Challenging Thing About Parenting:
Not taking life so seriously. Keeping my cool.
Favorites: We rotate our books to keep me from memorizing
too many. She loves "Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon",
"Everywhere Babies", "Olivia", and many more.
For the baby we couldn't live without the Jumperoo. It is the greatest
thing ever!
Money Saving Tips: I find great bargains on the internet. I
try to shop around for the best price on more expensive items. I'd
rather save a couple dollars than a few cents. So inexpensive
items I don't waste my time comparing prices. I do most of my
shopping at Wal-Mart Supercenter and price match from the other grocery
stores in town. So I don't have to make 4 stops to get all the
sale items I want--Just One. I love the dollar store, and enjoy
garage saling.
Best Bargain Ever:
I love bargains! Just recently I purchased eyeglasses at
zennioptical.com for $30. They would have cost at least $100
anywhere in town. AR coating was only $5. We got a double
stroller that also hooks to the back of a bike at a garage sale for
$20--we've used it a ton.
In the Kitchen:
Make
a Mix cookbooks are awesome. They save time, money, and are
tasty.
Organization:
I love books by Don Aslett (America's #1 Cleaning Expert). They
are easy reading and super helpful. My kitchen table (is right in
front of you when you walk into the house from the garage) was under a
mountain if junk, and I'd clean it just to find it piled high again.
I purchased a $9 dollar white plastic shelf, hooks with adhesive on the
back, and bins for each shelf. Everyone has a hook for their
coat--so now they aren't thrown on the chairs. Everyone has a bin
and a shelf--all the junk that normally would end up on the table just
goes into the bins and it is each persons responsibility to put their
stuff away. We've actually eaten dinner at the table since this
new addition.
