I love to save on Back to School by taking part in BOGOS or BOGO 1/2 off. This helps tremendously in buying clothes and shoes for my 5 yr old twins! Your site helps so much, too!
I check out all my local sales. We are going to the outlet mall on tax free weekend. Of course we track all the back to school deals on Mommysavers!!!
My son wears a uniform to school, but I always buy shoes that are on clearance or BOGO. I’m a big fan of uniforms for schools, because it eliminates a lot of stresses/issues for the kids that don’t need to distract in school, but I HATE that I have to buy from their catalog and can’t shop around. I almost NEVER buy something that’s not on sale, so I always grit my teeth writing that check … lol.
I also tweeted @cheepideas, and left a comment on your discussion forum.
We are using coupon on supplies and shopping on tax free weekend!
I buy the year before.. so far so good! Get wonderful buys.. ; )
I go to Goodwill and look for new and almost new pants and shirts! I got some nice jeans for either $2 or $4 and shirts for $2 today!
Otherwise I shop out of season for clearance items for the next year!
I like to keep an eye on prices all year round and stock up on stuff when the prices are cheap. The beginning of the school year prices on certain things are exceptionally great so it’s a great time to grab some extra to last the year!
I shop a year in advance. In October, I hit up the Children’s Place outlet and buy most of what she needs for the following year. I don’t buy too much because relatives tend to buy clothing too. So 4-5 long sleeved shirts, 2-3 pairs of yoga pants, a pair of jeans, 1 pair of cords, a hoodie, a sweater, a button up sweater, and we are pretty much good to go! Usually I spend about $75 or so. I also shop after Christmas for all of their cute fleece pants that go on clearance.
Thanks so much Kim!! I can’t wait!
You’re welcome! Please allow a couple weeks to get your shoes. I’ve sent your address to the folks at Stride Rite and they’ll mail them out.
