What does a full-time Mommysaver do on her day off? Go shopping, of course!
Even though I took the day off from blogging on Friday, I didn’t take the day off from SAVING. I hit Southdale Mall in Edina, Minnesota with my sister-in-law and favorite new shopping buddy: my one-month old nephew, pictured here. We had fun perusing the clearance racks and all three of us came out with some cute new clothes.
Some of the best deals I spotted yesterday:
- Designer shoes at Marshall’s for 50% off retail price
- New spring fashions at H&M (where I buy tees for $7.95)
- I WISH I had known about this one: Free Country Chic Lotion at Bath & Body Works
My best find was in the back of the Ann Taylor LOFT store. I saw an entire rack of sweaters marked down to just $3.88. As if that’s not frugal enough already, sale prices were also an additional 30% off. The grand total for the sweater I found, originally priced at $59.s0, was just $2.72. That’s cheaper than garage sale prices! I snapped up the two colors that were remaining in my size.
Shopping Tip: If you don’t see the sizes or items you want on the sales floor, ask the salesperson for help. I only found one sweater in my size, but inquired if there were more elsewhere. She was able to find one more in back.
