Job Title:
Double Diamond Distributor with Scent-Sations and Mia Bella Gourmet Candles and Body Products. I also was honored by receiving the 2005 Team Player of the Year award this past October.

Job Description:

I wear many hats in my company and in my personal business. I am a success coach for my expanding team; a cheerleader to encourage the struggles and celebrate the victories; a servant to others by offering fundraisers to schools, churches and other non-profit organizations in our community; and an educator.  I am passionate about the Integrity of our company and the uniqueness of our high quality products and with great joy am able to educate others about why Mia Bella is different in terms of our products and to you as a distributor.

How I Started My Business:
Two years ago I began my adventure with Mia Bella through a friend.  I was not looking for another opportunity but it was a fit for me, I was able to use a product that I loved and to share it with others and actually make money at craft shows. I was thrilled that I could help organizations raise money through fundraising and that I could work with my children to develop a lasting legacy for our family.

My Typical Work Schedule::
My day revolves around my family, and right now, my 4 year old son, Caleb, as I am home schooling him.

I have built my business primarily through the Internet so my tasks involve correspondence through emails with prospects, customers and team members.  I also believe that the Internet is the wave of the future and am blogging http://work-at-home.blogs.com/workathome_/  and offering success training through podcasts
http://trainingforsuccess.podblaze.com

Our team is growing and to be strong and deep,  ongoing training is so important. I provide a 1/2 hour live call with my team 3-5 days a week. The hours vary and I do my best work when the house is quiet and my family is tucked into bed.

What I Love About My Job:
What I do is not a "job" but a lifestyle.  I have the gift of teaching my children that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to and that they can be, do and achieve much more than they can imagine.  The example I am setting for my children, the financial legacy I am creating for my family and the opportunity I have to help others achieve their dreams has been life changing!

Challenges I Face:
My main challenge I face each day is balance. As a work from home mom we have to continue the role of "mom" as well as "maid" with an added "business owner" thrown in.  I am passionate about what I do and have to set limits so that I am not only taking care of my team, my family but also myself or I won't be any help to the first two.

Tips and Advice:
Yes, I do have some tips for you as you are researching home based businesses.   First of all, determine what it is that you want to accomplish by working from home.  Then decide how much you are willing to put into your business in terms of time, money and passion.  Make sure you find a company with a product you are passionate about, a company where family comes first, and a compensation plan made for YOU.

Do your research, ask questions and then once you make the decision, make a commitment to work your business with a laser focus for at least 1 year.  Enjoy your success!
