Job Description:
I work for the Nations Largest Discount
Benefits company. I find and sign people up that need
our Benefits. It's rewarding when I'm able to help
someone save a lot of money on their healthcare that is
uninsurable or can't afford traditional insurance.
How I Started My Business:
I searched for a whole year on the
Internet before I found the right business. I wanted to
find a way to supplement my income to get myself out of
debt. I wanted to find something that there was a great
need for and I finally found the right business. I
signed up immediately, and got right to work.
My Typical Work Schedule:
I am currently working this business
between one and two hours a day. I don't do any
cold-calling at all. I get my leads from a company that
advertises for our Benefits. Every day, I log into their
database and pick leads. I choose people that say they
have an immediate need for our benefits. When I call
someone, it's because they have asked to be called. They
are normally very receptive and happy to hear from me. I
then briefly explain our Benefits to them, and answer
any questions they may have. I direct them to my
Corporate website if they want to sign up, or mail them
a brochure. I then earn a 30% residual commission every
single month for as long as they keep our benefits.
What I Love About My Job:
The best
thing about this business is that it has been great for
me financially. It has allowed me to get completely out
of debt, and allowed my to just pay off my 15 year
mortgage in full, 6 years early! That's something I'm
very proud of considering I'm a single Mom and have done
that all by myself. I'm able to afford to do so much
with my son. We travel. We are always off
playing...skiing, golf, biking, parasailing...you name
it.
Challenges I Face:
I am such an active person, and it can be
tough at times to stay focused and motivated when it's
beautiful outside and I want to go out and enjoy the
weather rather than work the business.
Tips and Advice:
You have to be consistent in your efforts
no matter what business you choose. Work your business
every day and you'll start seeing results. Don't take
rejection personally, it's all part of business. Just
smile and move on to your next prospect.
