Creative Keepsakes: DIY “Favorites” Photo to Mark the End of the School Year

Creative Keepsakes: School Year Memory Photo | Mommysavers.comWant a simple and easy way to mark the end of your child’s school year?  Create a “favorites” photo with text comemorating their favorite bands, foods, and activities.  Do this every year, and you have a wonderful graduation gift!

Here’s How:  Start by taking a photo of your child with either a blurred background like I did, or against a solid-color background.  Push the subject off to the side to create room for the text.  I edited my image in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, but a simple photo editing platform like Google+ would work as well.  I cropped my image to 8×10 so that I could order an print that size for her scrapbook.

I ordered my print from Walgreens.com.  I used coupon code OFFER40 at checkout to take 40% off, which brought my total down to just $1.79 (code is valid through 6/9).
