How To Make Amazing Homemade Meatballs

This meal would be a lot of fun to get the kids involved. They could roll the balls in the oil or help kneed the meat mixture. I used to love helping my mother in the kitchen. I also did some quick math. I think after my coupon savings this big batch of meatballs cost less than $4 to make. That is a home run in my kitchen, frugal yet delicious!

Ingredients:
1 lb. sausage (use this $1 off coupon)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 cup bread crumbs
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
Dash of red pepper (optional)
1/3 cup of brown sugar (optional)
Olive oil for frying

Directions:

Put all ingredients minus the olive oil in a bowl

Knead together until well mixed

Roll into golf ball sized golf balls. Roll in oil in skillet.

Once you have rolled the entire batch of meatballs, turn skillet on medium heat and brown evenly on all sides

Once cooked all the way through place on paper towel covered plate to cool. Once cooled put in freezer safe storage bag and freeze until you are ready to use!

If you plan on making meatballs again some time soon, keep the excess oil to reuse.
