Creative Picnic Ideas:

  1. Have a potluck picnic with friends: assign someone the salad, the sandwiches, the dessert, etc.

  2. Pack a bag lunch and take your kids to the park

  3. Plan an evening picnic: watch the stars while your kids collect fireflies.  Don't forget the insect repellant!

  4. Romantic picnic for two:  get a babysitter while you enjoy a romantic evening under the stars.  Don't forget to bring the wine, flowers, and romantic finger foods.

  5. Go on a hiking picnic.  Bring food like granola bars, trail mix, and beverages in a thermos.  Pack everything in a backpack and hit the trails!

  6. The tailgate picnic:  While on an outing to watch a baseball or soccer game, bring along some pre-game munchies to enjoy beforehand.

  7. Live in the city?  Try an urban picnic: Spread out a blanket on the lawn in front of the library or a favorite museum. People watching adds to the fun.
