Name: Leighanne
Age:     29
Home: New Bern, NC

Family's Names and Ages:
Lorenzo Jr 3
Josiah Ray 8 months

Occupation:
I am currently a stay at home mom. I have been at home for almost 2 1/2 years. I enjoy being at home with my children very much.  I had been a cook prior to for 11 years.

If I had a day to myself...:
I would do whatever came to mind. I'd get in the car and see where the wind would blow me.....to the park?....to a beauty salon?.....to the library to read quietly?......I am not so sure but it would be whatever I felt like. It also may just lead to an afternoon wraped up in bed with the TV on Lifetime all day long!

Money Saving Tips:
I always shop at the end of a season for the next year. I can find summer markdown (many times at 90%) and buy for the next summer. Usually I can find matching shirt and short sets for 3.00 a piece. Then I will hold on to some for my younger son to wear when he gets bigger. Also, plan meals ahead. Shopping is easier with a plan.

Bargain Hunting Strategies:
My favorite shops are Walmart and JCPenney. JCPenney is good for finding deals at the beginning of the school year. Every time I have gone the clothes were 50-75% off!! I had also found a rack of clothes marked down to $1.77!!!  Some of the items original price were $34. These are great buys for those eBay moms!

Products we can't live without:
I could not live without books. It is a nice activity to do together and also promotes some sit down, wind down time. My son looks forward to the library and story time right before bed.

In the Kitchen:
When cooking big meals (lasagna, stews, casseroles) ALWAYS cook extra and put in the freezer for a meal in a flash. This will always make the chaos of life easier if the appointment at the doctor's office takes longer than expected or soccer practice is delayed. I always try and make sure that there are no dishes in the sink before going to bed at night. When I get up and there is a mess in the kitchen it seems as if it just sets the mode for the entire day.

Organization:
I go to Walmart and get the storage bags that you can vacuum the air out of. I love these! I have 4 sheet sets (king) and 2 comforters in one bag and it fits nicely in my closet. It makes it flat as a pancake. Easy storage and it is water resistant and the thick plastic wards off rips or tears.
