If I had a day to myself...:

Whew, I think I would do something stress free. I think there is so much stress on  moms to keep up with everything that we don't get to enjoy our kids as much. I would go somewhere that I could relax and be with my family.

Money Saving Tips:
Avoid expensive cleaners.  Buy a big box of baking soda and a big bottle of vinegar, between the combo of the two of them on their own you clean just about anything. Check out some sites on them.  All these expensive ones you see on TV have baking soda as their main and sometimes only ingredient.

Bargain Hunting Strategies:
Shop anywhere there is a clearance. I have everything I need the season before or year before. I shop all the after holiday specials and all the clothes are off season purchases. I just spent 30.00 as Sears in off season clothes and got about 130.00 worth of clothes.

Products we can't live without:
Vinegar and baking soda. Internet. Books. Phone (I live in a different country than all my family does)

In the Kitchen:

Keep it simple. Organized. Tidy. If I start cleaning the kitchen first I never get out of it. After trying so many things I learned to keep things organized. I have a basket in the kitchen for placing all the things that don't belong there. The kitchen tends to pull things that don't belong in it to it!

Organization:
My basket. I go from room to room picking up what doesn't belong and then I go through it and go back through the rooms putting things back. It helps me keep clutter minimized and things where they belong.

I also have a 15 minute trash run. I go around all the rooms with a shopping bag and I pick up junk and trash.

Baskets are great everywhere. I use them in the cabinets with similar medicine. So rather than dig through 10 bottles knocking things over etc I pull the basket out, grab what I need and put the basket back.
CONTAIN things, Ziploc baggies for stray items. Containers for odds and ends.
