The Most Rewarding Thing About Parenting:
Looking at my children and thinking that God chose to give them to me.
Seeing the way they look at me. The hustle and bustle of our
household. And being called "mama"
The Most Challenging Thing About Parenting:
I love all of it.
Favorites:
Plastic animal figurines and books
Money Saving Tips:
NEVER shop without a list
coupon clip the newspapers and even online
learn to cut your kids hair at home
shop for clothes out of season. you'll be able to but new clothes
at yard sale prices
Best Bargain Ever:
Every time I shop at the Baby Gap in the sale section I find barains.
In the Kitchen:
When you cook always have one side of the sink filled with soapy water
and then just put the dishes in as you go, that way they have time to
soak. Also, always keep your sink clear to help this empty out the
dishwasher every morning and load dishes throughout the day. Plan
your meals and try to use up all leftovers before making a new meal
Organization:
GET RID OF EXCESS. I am a firm believer of saving my kids memories (i.e.
first outfit, etc.) but if we really take the time about once a month or
so to go through our closets and drawers the clutter will disappear.
Also stock your child's closet for season with a few out of season
outfits just in case of a weather change. Keep the out of season
clothing in a plastic box in the attic. Go through your kids toys
twice a year and get rid of anything not used or broken. Make a
specific day to clean where you do all major cleaning, and a day for
laundry. Although, now that my husband and I have three precious
little ones I do their laundry one day and mine and my husband's the
next day. Never go to bed until everything is put up. Take
15 minutes before you go to bed to put any toys dishes shoes, etc.
away. Buy a decorative basket for any room your kids usually play
in besides their room and keep toys they like to play with. Teach
your kids organization early. I have plastic drawers in their
closet and I put all of their animals in one drawer all of their cars in
another and so on. Soon they'll have established the basic art of
organization.
