Job Title:
Pampered Chef Kitchen Consultant
Job Description:
I represent The Pampered Chef--a thriving company dedicated to enhancing
the quality of family life by providing quality kitchen products--as an
Independent Kitchen Consultant. In doing so I provide people with
innovative and useful kitchen tools that help bring new life to the
"heart" of their homes.
How I Started My Business:
I had attended a Pampered Chef Kitchen Show hosted by a friend and met a
consultant named Michelle. Beacuse our husbands both do the same kind
of work, we found that we had a lot in common and struck up a
friendship. I have always loved Pampered Chef products and found it
interesting learning from her about her business. After exploring all
the facets of being a consultant and learning more about the company
itself, my husband and I felt it was a win-win opportunity for me to
become a consultant. I have not been disappointed!
My Typical Work Schedule:
My full-time job is a stay-at-home mom. As such, there is no shortage
of things to do with my girls and household responsibilities to cover.
The great thing about representing The Pampered Chef is that I can
schedule my work (shows, follow-up, networking, and training) in ways
that best fit my lifestyle and support our family's values. As an
Independent Kitchen Consultant, I can invest from a few minutes to a few
hours each week in my business, depending upon my current show
schedule. My Pampered Chef work consists of booking new shows
(networking, following up with guests from recent shows, emails, etc.),
servicing show hosts and guests, managing shows via Pampered Chef's
excellent software (orders, payments, etc.), maintaining my website, and
marketing my business.
What I Love About My Job:
Flexibility; a company that shares my values; great earning potential;
minimal investment at startup; no inventory to stock
Challenges I Face:
Building my business in the midst of raising my family. :)
Tips and Advice:
Do your homework; talk with people who work in the same type of business
(try doing it for 6 months as a trial if possible); be realistic about
your personal strengths (i.e., do I have the passion, personality, and
natural gifts to do this job well?).
