CLOCK

So far, the best costume I have made for my kids is a clock.  My 3 yr old son wanted to be a grandfather clock.  I found a box that was a little bit wider than him.  I painted it black and slipped it over his head.  I then cut holes in the sides for his arms.  I cut a hole in the front for his face which I surrounded with black craft foam.  The hole in the foam was not as large as his head, so it was a soft way to hold it on his face.  I pained gold numbers around the opening on the craft foam.  I cut the hands out of the foam and stuck them to his forehead with double stick tape showing 3:00.  My daughter was 1 at the time so she was a mouse.  A gray sweat suit with a tail made from scrap gray fabric and a little stuffing and a headband with felt gray & pink ears attached was all it took.  They were very cute!! - -Michelle from FL
